Howdy! I’m Alaina Genereux, the owner of Difro Fibers and Activities. When I had taken a break from the senior living industry, I had made a stark realization that I had no hobbies and no clue what I would enjoy doing. I had picked up a hook when I remembered I enjoyed finger crocheting as a child, the spark that ignited from there was one I never anticipated. Since then, I’ve made hundreds of projects (including my wedding veil!) and felt as though the artist in me that had laid dormant all these years had finally awakened. Crochet had even opened doors into other hobbies, as if that was the key I needed to unlock my artistic potential. I’ve always wanted to help people, that part of me never fell asleep, and while crocheting one day I thought how wonderful it would be if more people had that artist wake up within them too.
